WE APPROACH GOD

Prelude

Call to Worship/Peace

One: Gracious God, we are a people who strive with one another.

All: But we remember Joseph whose brothers threw him away and he became their salvation.

One: We remember Jacob and Esau who fought in their mother’s womb but were reconciled on the battlefield.

All: We remember your people, who suffered in exile, and Queen Esther, who took a stand ‘For such a time as this’ to end the strife.

One: And we still strive against one another.

All: Lord, grant us your peace.

One: The Peace of Christ be with you

           All: And also with you

All: Lord, hear our prayer

with the Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.

Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.

Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power
