WE APPROACH GOD

Prelude

Call to Worship/Peace

One: To you O Lord, I call; my rock do not refuse to hear me;

All: for if you are silent to me, I shall be like those who go down to the pit.

One: Hear the voice of my supplication, as I cry to you for help,

All: as I lift up my hands toward your most holy sanctuary.

One: Blessed be the Lord, for he has heard the sound of my pleadings.

All: The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts; so I am helped, and my heart exults and with my song I give thanks to him.

One: The Peace of Christ be with you

           All: And also with you

Prayers of the People

Leader: We lift this praise to the Lord

All: Thanks be to God

Leader: We lift this prayer to the Lord

All: Lord, hear our prayer

with the Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.

Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.

Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power

and the glory forever.

Amen.

Offering

Call to Confession

Prayer of Confession, Silence is kept. Then saying together:

Most merciful God,

We confess that we have sinned against you

in thought, word, and deed,

by what we have done,

and by what we have left undone.

We have not loved you with our whole heart;

we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves.

We are truly sorry and we humbly repent.

For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ,

have mercy on us and forgive us;

that we may delight in your will,

and walk in your ways,

To the glory of your Name. Amen.
