Pastor Brett Busch

Brittany and I are so glad to join you at Pella! When we first married on June 2, 2012, we considered what the possibility of entering ministry would look like for us. While we attended Northwestern College in Orange City, IA we both had passions for education and were developing a heart for how God would use us to serve in the future. While these passions were developing side by side, Brittany and I felt that we could explore what God had started and would see where God would lead. God led us to serve in the Sioux City Community School District, in Sioux City, IA. After serving in this school district and being engaged at our church for seven years, we sensed attending Western Theological Seminary, in Holland, MI would be the next best step for us. While at WTS both Brittany and I engaged in conversation about the church, theology, and what God was doing in this world. While doing this, we discerned that God is alive and at work today and that we could best join in that work in a setting that was rooted in tradition and minded toward relationships. We believe ministry flows from our experiences of God's love, is rooted in God's Word, and is lived out in relationships. We hope our experiences of God's love and the relationships we develop will be influenced by one another, and we pray God's Word transforms our lives together.
